A Steward for Lord Jesus Christ

Like other prophets before me, for example Moses, I am not interested in being called to give a message, especially a message of repentance. Not that I am comparing myself with a great prophet like Moses, except the Lord did say the greatest prophet of old was John the Baptist and the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than he.

But whatever the case I feel like Moses with his attitude that there are a lot more qualified people among God’s people to carry this message than I. And just like Moses I have felt God’s anger at my reluctance and excuses.

Through it all, with many tears, the Lord has gotten through to me and here I am! His will be done! I do have to say though I would have liked to have had an Aaron like Moses had. However, the  Lord has shown me my writing  is my Aaron to speak for me.

I hope that does not offend anyone, and they think I am comparing myself to a great prophet like Moses, that is the furthest thing from my mind. My lack of feeling I am a great prophet is why I am not interested in doing this, because I don’t feel qualified to do this. It is just the best analogy in the Bible of someone not wanting to bring a message that fits me that I can think of.

Ex 4:10 ¶ And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I [am] not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I [am] slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. {eloquent: Heb. a man of words} {heretofore: Heb. since yesterday, nor since the third day}

Ex 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Ex 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

Ex 4:13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand [of him whom] thou wilt send. {wilt: or, shouldest}

Ex 4:14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, [Is] not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

Ex 4:15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

Lu 7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
